The company has experienced significant growth in the last 12 months and is currently recruiting an Accounting Manager.

Situated just outside the CDB this company possesses an immaculate new head office, where this role is based.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to partner with and has a genuine passion for the automotive market. Your new responsibilities will be:

  • prepare monthly reconciliations for all general ledger accounts.
  • supervise accounts payable/receivable
  • FBT return work papers.
  • preparing and processing month-end journals.
  • prepare yearly statutory accounts.
  • prepare deskbank
  • prepare monthly liquidity reports
  • handle insurance claims
  • prepare monthly accounts and monthly reporting
  • prepare BAS return in line with relevant legislation
  • prepare payroll tax return / workers compensation return in line with relevant legislation
  • other ad-hoc duties as requested.

 

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role you will be self-confident with the ability to work to multiple deadlines and have strong month-end reporting skills. You will also possess: 

  • previous accounting experience
  • experience in the automotive sector would be an advantage
  • tertiary qualifications in accounting
  • people management experience 
  • the ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • advanced computer and analytical skills
  • extensive experience with statutory reporting (ATO etc.)
  • strong experience with intensive audit processes
  • some experience in reporting upstream (to an o/s parent company) – sensitivity to foreigners / different culture
  • extensive experience managing “processes”
  • patience and ability to meet/juggle a variety of deadlines
  • ability to work autonomously (with minimum direction)
  • be open to attending to other staff queries in the business (often in the absence of GM Finance)
  • maintain the positive image of the Finance department within the organisation
