About WorleyParsons

Recognised as one of Australia’s leading engineering design and project delivery companies and one of the largest employers of professional engineers in the world. WorleyParsons has the global network and extensive expertise to deliver small studies right through to mega-projects within our four customer sector groups: Hydrocarbons, Minerals & Metals, Power and Infrastructure & Environment. Our people benefit from working alongside industry leaders and with our coverage nationally and worldwide, you have the opportunity to learn, grow and reach your full potential.

The WorleyParsons Graduate Development Program

WorleyParsons will help you shape the next vital phases in your career development and guide you to your ultimate objectives.  That is why we've developed a truly innovative and dynamic Graduate Development Program (GDP) that's been expertly structured to provide you with the maximum breadth and depth of engineering experience during your first three years in the workforce.

Our GDP is comprised of the following five elements;

Accreditation:

One of the main focuses of our GDP is to ensure that you achieve your chartered status.  By becoming a chartered professional engineer you are recognised by the community, industry and government as being a recognised professional.  Chartered status is seen as an international badge of competence which will allow you to work on exciting projects all over the world.

The four remaining elements of our GDP provide a framework to support you to achieve your Chartered status.

Mentor
and Buddy Schemes:

Starting at a new company can be a daunting process, so new graduates will be assigned a Mentor who will help set your career course and provide guidance to ensure chartered status is gained. Your assigned Mentor will be a senior engineer who will assist you in all key areas of your early development.

We also have a Buddy program to help you integrate into the company by giving you a point of contact who isn’t a Manager or Mentor, but rather a fellow, more experienced graduate. Your Buddy will be available to give advice and tips during the early period of employment to help you learn about your role, the company, and the Graduate Development Program.

Rotations:

Rotations ensure that graduates receive exposure to a variety of projects, phases, sectors and locations in the WorleyParsons business. This program will further enhance your on-the-job development and business management skills, while meeting your own career goals.

Professional Development:

With WorleyParsons, not only is your future about attaining your initial targets, it's about surpassing them and experiencing ongoing opportunities and increased capabilities, keeping you at the very forefront of your profession.

Each year, in addition to the technical training offered, we offer special, customised business management courses, aimed at developing graduates into true all round professionals.

Graduate Development Organisation (GDO):

The GDO is the collective voice of our graduates, supported by the collective insights of our top professionals. The GDO brings networking opportunities to our graduates, facilitates the coordination of mentors and rotations, and ensure that the commitments made to GDP participants are fulfilled.

By joining the WorleyParsons GDP, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved and experience the many social events organised by the GDO each year.
