GreenCollar Climate Solutions helps business develop the necessary climate change management frameworks to protect and enhance shareholder value, addressing the foreseeable impacts of climate change on a company’s business environment and helping organizations manage the transition to a fully carbon conscious business over the long-term. 

 Working with the energy, mining, agricultural, forestry, and finance sectors, among others, our services range from basic education about the what, why and how of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) and carbon finance to the development and implementation of comprehensive compliance and business strategies, offset procurement and project development.

Responsibilities  

• Assisting client organisations to understand, quantify and evaluate their global carbon footprint; 
• Advising organisations affected by the Kyoto Protocol and the CPRS on their compliance obligations; 
• Assisting client organisations in preparing for new legislation  
• Supporting the organisations to design an active carbon management programmes and strategies and assistance with implementation through developing the tools required to apply the policies, and identification of the relevant indicators to measure sustainability performance; 
• Give assurance on Corporate Social Responsibility reports; 

 Qualifications 

 Minimum 10 years experience working in either the mining, energy, forestry or waste management sectors including; 

 Including minimum 4 years experience and/or training in the fields of GHG auditing/assessment, verification, auditing or validation experience in one or more programs/areas, e.g., CCAR, CCX, CDM/JI, EU-ETS, VCS, Gold Standard, Green-E Project verification, baseline/inventory verification, ISO 14001, Responsible Care, EHS compliance audits in the energy or process sectors, etc.  

• Knowledge in one or more GHG methodologies, registry requirements or other voluntary initiatives or national programs or projects, e.g., EU-ETS, CDM/JI, RGGI, CCAR, CCX, API Compendium, Landfill Gas, CHP, fuel-switch, renewable energy projects, land use/land use forestry projects, carbon capture & storage, transportation, etc.  

• Masters degree or higher in Engineering or Science in Environmental, Energy, Forestry or Waste Management fields; 
• Thorough knowledge in one or more related technical disciplines (environmental, management systems,  sustainability, environmental engineering, industrial engineering, forestry, environmental finance, GHG life cycle analysis)
